My Story

Camino is Spanish for "path" or "way." My father walked the El Camino de Santiago (also known as the Way of St. James), a 500-mile pilgrimage across Spain, back in 2001. As an 11-year old, I didn't think much of it at the time. But another 11 years of my life made me decide to create my own camino. And so began my Peace Corps experience, the reason I started this blog back in 2012.

After 27 months abroad, I emerged a new person, ready to conquer my next adventure. I realized that although my service was finished, my camino is endless; always evolving. Thus, I decided to continue this blog to further share and express my personal life experiences through writing and photography as I find my camino.
